Call for Papers

The Second International Conference on Learning and Optimization Algorithms: Theory and Applications will be held at University of Córdoba, Córdoba, Spain, from Tuesday 16th to Thursday 18th of June 2020. Attracting a worldwide audience, this conference bridges the gap between two important areas of knowledge such as the learning and the optimization. The diversification of automated learning applications has led to new requirements inherent in the availability of large-scale data. LOPAL’2020 will be therefore a relevant opportunity for researchers as well as professionals on the matter, allowing the exchange of ideas and technologies between academic and industrial scientists. The LOPAL’2020 edition also aims to host high-quality papers about industry and real case applications as well as allow to researchers to present and discuss the most recent innovations, trends, and concerns together with the theoretical and practical challenges encountered these areas.

We solicit submissions on previously unpublished research work. Example areas include but are not limited to:

  • Data Analysis and Knowledge Discovery
  • Knowledge Representation
  • Decision Support and Recommendation Systems
  • Big Data Analytics
  • Data visualization and Modern Technologies
  • Cognitive Computing
  • Machine Learning
  • Optimization
  • Software Frameworks (MapReduce, Spark, etc) and Simulations
  • Big Data Preprocessing Techniques
  • Big Data mining
  • Scalable and High-Performance Computing
  • Internet of Things
  • Smart Cities & Energy
  • Industrial Challenges

Prospective authors are expected to submit their contributions to the general track or one of the special tracks if relevant. Please see submission guidelines for further details.
